[1] [THE LIMITED LIABILITY PARTNERSHIP ACT, 2008 [Act No. 6 of 2009] [7th January, 2009] PREAMBLE An Act to make provisions for the formation and regulation of limited liability partnerships and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. Be it enacted by Parliament in the Fifty-ninth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-- Footnotes ^ Effective date of enforcement of specified sections of LLP Act 31.03.2009 vide Notification No SO891(E) Dated 31.03.2009 and Second, Third and Fourth Schedule 22.05.2009 vide Notification No SO1323(E) Dated 22.05.2009 (1) This Act may be called the Limited Liability Partnership Act, 2008. (2) It extends to the whole of India. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint: Provided that different dates may be appointed for different provisions of this Act and any reference in any such provision to the commencement of this Act shall be construed as a reference to the coming into force of that provision.
